1. Program Description
Rentyn may send and receive SMS or MMS messages for property operations purposes. Messages may be transactional or operational in nature — such as maintenance intake, routing updates, landlord alerts, account onboarding, billing notices, and support messages — or, where separately consented to, marketing in nature, such as product announcements or promotional offers.
Message frequency varies based on account activity, tenant communication, and configured workflows.
Rentyn's mailing address is 265 rue Hymus, Pointe-Claire, QC H9R 0G2, Canada. Rentyn serves customers in Canada and the United States.
2. Consent
Transactional and operational messages (such as maintenance confirmations, service updates, alerts, and billing notices) require consent from the recipient to receive text messages in connection with their account or property workflow. Consent is given when you provide a mobile number to Rentyn, text a Rentyn-enabled number, or otherwise opt in through a Rentyn workflow.
Marketing messages require prior express written consent under the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and express or implied consent under Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), as applicable. Rentyn will not send marketing text messages without the appropriate level of consent.
Landlords and property operators who use Rentyn to contact tenants, residents, vendors, or staff are responsible for obtaining, documenting, and maintaining legally sufficient consent from those recipients under all applicable laws, including TCPA, CASL, and any applicable provincial or state law. Landlords must retain records of consent — including the date, method, and scope of consent obtained — and make them available upon reasonable request.
3. Opt Out and Help
You can opt out of Rentyn text messages by replying STOP. After you send STOP, you may receive one final message confirming the opt-out. You can request help by replying HELP or emailing support@rentyn.ca.
If you opt out, certain SMS-based workflows may no longer be available for that number. You may still receive non-SMS service communications through other channels where permitted.
Under CASL, you may also withdraw consent to receive commercial electronic messages from Rentyn at any time by contacting us at support@rentyn.ca.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your mobile carrier, device, network, and phone number status.
5. Privacy and SMS Data Sharing
Rentyn's use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy. Rentyn does not sell SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or SMS consent information. Rentyn does not share SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. Supported Carriers
SMS availability may vary by carrier and country. Rentyn may use communications providers such as Twilio to send, receive, route, and manage messages.
7. Changes
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted with a new "Last updated" date.
